Summer Camp Fun! Tales from 10 Weeks of Summit Summer Adventures

On June 3, 2016, children across Lake Worth and Palm Beach County will celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of another active summer. Each summer at Summit Kids Academy, our children become explorers, navigating through ten weeks of Summit Summer Adventures, our summer camp experience.

This summer camp program for children ages 6-12 offers kids adventures including field trips, sporting activities, art projects, and weekly themes like “Nature Adventure” and “Jurassic World”. Our campers will brave the frosty chill of the ice skating rink, test their speed and skill on the tennis court and the bowling alley, and meet a wide array of reptiles, bugs, and marine life brought to the academy by local presenters.

I recently sat down with Grace, who took part in last year’s “Race to the Summit” summer camp program, to ask her about her experience with the program.

An enthusiastic camper, Grace was more than happy to share about her time at summer camp.

Q: What other field trips did you like?

A: I liked ice skating, bowling, roller-skating, and mini-golf.

Q: What is your favorite thing about summer?

A: Field trips and no school.

Q: What activities do you like to do here during the summer?

A: I like doing arts and crafts, playing with my friends, doing a paint-a-pot, and playing on the iPads.

Q: Are you excited about summer coming up soon?

A: YES!

We are thrilled to welcome back the campers, many of whom attended our preschool when they were younger. Summit Summer Adventures is a great chance for kids to see old friends and make some brand new ones, all while learning, enjoying new experiences, and having fun! We are looking forward to an amazing summer.
