Celebrate a Family Friendly Fall in Palm Beach!

Summer may be over, but the good weather keeps families out and about here in Palm Beach County, and the area has plenty of activities available this fall to keep families with young children entertained!

For the 18th consecutive year, the Palm Beach Zoo is holding Boo at the Zoo, a Halloween celebration that invites children to trick or treat among the animal exhibits and wildlife shows. Bring your kids, in costume, and enjoy costume contests, a pumpkin patch, a bounce house, face painting, and games and crafts. This event allows kids to trick or treat in a safe environment and will give your family plenty to do besides simply trekking in search of candy!

Enjoy half price admission at Flamingo Gardens for the 7th Annual Harvest Festival and Great Scarecrow Competition. This fun fall event features hayrides, a pumpkin patch, music, games, and crafts. Attendees can vote for their favorite scarecrow in the Great Scarecrow Competition, and enjoy the botanical gardens and nature center.

The American German Club in Lake Worth is celebrating Oktoberfest over two weekends in October this year. This family friendly event isn’t just for adults who want to enjoy a few Bavarian beers. Kids will have a blast participating in carnival games, live entertainment, and arts and crafts. Bratwursts will be served and enthusiasts of all ages are welcome!

It’s the time of year again for the Boynton Beach Haunted Pirate Fest and Memaid Splash! This free event transforms the downtown streets into a Renaissance era reenactment complete with pirates, magic shows, and mermaid tanks. Your kids will enjoy the costume contest and the mermaid pageant, as well as face painting, crafts, and games.

The West Palm Beach Waterfront will be home to Lagoon Fest this November, celebrating the natural wonders of this region and capturing the attention of kids and adults alike. Enjoy live music, wildlife presentations, and lagoon tours, all in a beautiful natural environment.
